DAVE GAHAN ABANDONS SOLO PROJECT TO STAR IN "Baywatch"
MALIBU (Reuters) - It was officially announced today that Dave Gahan, lead singer of the European band Depeche Mode, has abandoned his highly anticipated solo project. Titled "Paper Monsters", the album was due for release in June by Mute Records (UK) and Reprise Records (USA). When asked why the sudden change in his plans, Dave was quoted as saying "basically, I'm replacing [David] Hasselhoff. They wanted a younger, more handsome, powerful looking Dave."
Gahan's record labels and management were unavailable for comment. Executives for David Hasselhoff declined our attempts to request his side of the story.
